For the JOY of singing!

We warmly welcome new singers!

Olympia Sisters in Harmony

In our women’s community singing group we focus on uplifting each other through harmony and listening. We reconnect with ourselves and to the living earth through peaceful and seasonal wisdom songs.

Songs are taught by ear. No experience is needed and singing is always optional. Self care is welcome throughout. See song examples in the video and feel free to reach out with questions.

Email Olysongmama@gmail.com or text (360) 485-2439 to get details. We sing year round at my home on the west side of Olympia. Participants can sing as often as every week and pay $75 - $125 per month ($18 - $31 per class) to be members of our nourishing community. When you join, you also have access to a playlist of our songs to listen to between sessions, a community chat group, and other resources. The membership structure makes it possible to support the role of song leader in our society and lends itself to a deeper experience of the music. You are welcome to come try it out at no cost, and there are a number of spaces held for low income members as well.

Restorative Sing Along

Everyone is welcome to our first Sundays Restorative Sing Along at Traditions gathering space downtown. Check the Traditions calendar for weekly times. It is usually 1-2:30p but we meet earlier in the summer and some weeks we create a unique special event. $25, $15 low income.

Sign up below for updates and send me an email if you have any questions. We look forward to singing with you!

“Fehlya helped me find and appreciate my own unique singing voice. Now I enjoy singing all the time, especially the beautiful songs she chose for us to learn. I also enjoyed getting to know each of the other women. We became a tight knit group of friends that I can hardly wait to see again each week.”

Sisters in Harmony

Olympia Sisters in Harmony is a welcoming community circle devoted to women uplifting each other through singing and sharing. Our focus is on feeling the joy and transformational power of singing. We use song to connect more mindfully to ourselves, to one another, and to the natural world.

You CAN Sing Previous singing experience is not needed. You are invited to let go of stories about having a ‘bad voice’. Singing offers many benefits including lowered stress, happiness hormones from heart aligned group energy, and improved lung health. These benefits are available to everyone despite ability level. In my circles, it is always welcome for you to listen until you feel ready to add your voice to the song. We are pursuing joy, not perfection.

Sound Nourishing? Send me an email. Our community is warm and welcoming. I’d love to hear from you.

Sisters in Harmony is a larger movement of women’s singing groups gathering to uplift the feminine spirit.

“I love Olympia Sisters in Harmony because I love to learn songs. It’s a pleasure to sing with other like-minded, community-minded individuals.”

— Madeline

I poetically describe my vocal coaching as vocal midwifery. When the voice expands, life follows.

Collaborations

I collaborate with dance/yoga teachers, congregations, singers, therapists, and community leaders. Are you a business owner, team building leader, or other professional in the Puget Sound area? How could your team shift with more connection and expression? What would your work be like if people sang together?

I’m available for special projects, team building workshops, and singing/workplace integration.

Let’s bring song back into everyday life!

Send me a note.

I LOVE to spread the joy of singing! Workshops, weddings, blessingways, moonrise ceremonies, celebrations of life and more can be enriched with guided singing.

Perinatal Singing

Centering songs such as simple chants and mantras are excellent preparation for childbirth and a salve for postpartum life. Please contact me to initiate a perinatal group or join our weekly Olympia Sisters in Harmony circles. Babes in arms are welcome. You can also check out the Olympia Lullaby Circle led by Emily Skeers.
